I started MAXXING for a simple reason: I ate clean, trained hard, slept well, and still had acne. The answers existed in published research, but they were buried under two hundred products, ten-step routines nobody sticks to, and marketing designed to be un-checkable. So I built the brand I needed: few ingredients with real published evidence behind them, dosed like the studies, priced so you do not think twice, and explained in plain English.
That turned into a second job: reading the actual research. Most of what I publish now is the work I wish someone else had done years ago.
What I write about
- GHK-Cu and copper peptides: the ingredient MAXXING's Glow serum is built on, and the one I have read the most primary literature about.
- Ingredient transparency: disclosed concentrations, label claims vs measurable reality, and why half this category will not publish a number.
- Evidence honesty: what studies actually show, at the evidence level they show it, including the negative results.
- The GHK-Cu Research Library: 60 verified studies, 1977 to 2026, organized by outcome and honestly labeled. Maintained by our team; I read every summary before it ships.
- GHK-Cu concentration by brand: the disclosure table nobody else would publish.
- 10 copper peptide serums compared: facts side by side, no rigged winner.
How we work
Every citation on this site links to the original paper on PubMed. Study types are labeled (human trial, animal, in vitro) because a cosmetic ingredient's literature deserves the same honesty as its label. We publish the studies that did not go our ingredient's way. And we are preparing independent, pre-registered lab testing of our own serum alongside the biggest names in the category, results published win or lose.
If we get something wrong, tell me and we will fix it and date-stamp the correction: contact.
